I’m not going to be all diplomatic. I’m not going to be all “yes we were teased but that’s ok!”
“Brilliant marketing strategy!”
“Ohhh, good one Jaguar!”I’m pissed
I’m allowed to be angry
You can’t dictate my emotions
Awh! That’s fucking cold! So no Tom at all this round?
Well Jaguar we all know what this means snakes bites you once shame on the snake bet that shit won.t work again! I’m outraged!
It’s not that I’m upset over the sneaky lil’ stunt they pulled [although I am.] It’s that they exploited Tom’s name to get the attention, knowing full well that his fan base would generate the buzz. Not cool. Not acceptable. Have some respect for the actor and his fans and don’t be such self-aggrandizing assholes.
Yeah, yeah, I get the whole ‘but we’re villains, bwahahha, it’s so good to be bad’ angle…but that’s not being a fictional film villain, it’s being a poor publicist, frankly: You just alienated the very resource you used to promote your product. Not wise. It makes this fan wonder if you simply didn’t want to pay my beloved actor to appear in another ad, but knew you could get the attention by deliberately misleading his fanbase into doing your advertising for you. Shame, shame!
I hope Tom [and other actors, too–I feel terribly sorry for Nicholas in all this, since it was a lovely performance–] will take a long hard look at this kind of fan exploitation and consider what they want to lend their names to in the future.
There’s good advertising and there’s bad advertising…So I ask you, Jaguar: was it good to be bad?
