For information, Suzannah Lipscomb has recently co-presented a series on C5 about the wives of Henry VIII with Dan Jones, another historian who had published several good history books. He was at Pembroke College, Cambridge, with Tom and I think friends with him. Remember the graduation pic “guess who these are” from a few months ago? Well Dan was one of the three with Tom and the guy who tweeted it. The guy with his back to the camera is Sam Willis who is another historian and broadcaster.

The “mystery blonde” in that Sun article is actually a historian who tweeted that she accidentally got in Tom’s way when he was trying to leave the club last night.  Her twitter account is @sixteenthCgirl.

Thanks for the submission! I know I posted a few comments about that last night, including her pre-emptory tweet about the paparazzi photos, but I’m sure not everyone has seen them. But what you’re saying is absolutely true. So no romance, not even any proof that they were together for any reason (meeting, whatever); they may just have happened to be in same place at the same time.

I saw that tweet yesterday and was waiting for the pictures to come out. One of her retweeted said something along the lines of she’ll be linked with him now in the paper.

Good for her. She’s my new hero – double first in history, who knows her Tudors. Though they should know who she is. I mean, it’s not like she’s been on television or anything.

Plus he had his iPad. Probably prepping for today’s BFI stuff.

gives the cameras a cheeky grin when asked if he will be the next Bond

Thor star is among favourites tipped to take the role of
007

 TOM Hiddleston was accompanied by a mystery woman as he
left the Ivy Club in London on Tuesday night.

 The handsome actor, 35, is one of the favourites to take
the role of James Bond – alongside other beloved Brits including Idris Elba and
Jamie Bell.

 And he provoked speculation he will scoop the part.

 Asked if he will be the next 007, he grinned at
photographers outside the exclusive venue.

 He refused to say anything but he did beam from ear to
ear which suggested he may know something.

 Recently, Bookies have halted bets on which actor will be
named the next Bond after a four-figure stake was made on The Night Manager
star.

 Firms including BoyleSports and Coral promptly announced
they would suspend the 6/4 odds which rocketed the blonde into pole position to
play the iconic special agent role.

 The flurry of backing saw the British actor with final
figures of 2-1 well ahead of rivals Tom Hardy at 5/2 and Idris Elba and Damien
Lewis, both at 5/1.

 BoyleSports spokesperson Liam Glynn said: “Judging by the
gamble on Tom Hiddleston we expect that it’s only a matter of days before he is
announced as Daniel Craig’s replacement.”

 Meanwhile Nicola McGeady, a spokeswoman for Coral, said:
“There is no smoke without fire, and following the big gamble on Tom Hiddleston
in the last 24 hours, we’ve had no choice but to pull the plug on the market.

 “Earlier in the year there was a gamble on Idris Elba and
Damian Lewis, but nothing has come close to the recent gamble on Hiddleston.”

 Londoner Hiddleston was reportedly seen chatting with
Bond director Sam Mendes last week.
