This is true. I saw a documentary about it. Men’s orgasm faces are allowed in teenage comedies rated PG13, but women’s orgasm faces can often push it into NC-17 territory, no joke.

This is pretty much the equation:

women receiving abuse = PG-13/R

women receiving pleasure = R/NC-17

Ugh. I did a speech on this shit, and watched the documentary about it. Pisses me the fuck off.

The Grandmaster knew how to time his requests. Namely, when Loki was lying sprawled on his back, still half blissed out, the Grandmaster sitting up next to him, petting Loki’s hair and practically radiating smug satisfaction.

Under other circumstances Loki might have resented that. At the moment he couldn’t really begrudge it.

“I’ve had a thought,” the Grandmaster said.

“Mmm,” Loki said, still basking.

“Want to try something new, sweetheart?”

“I could probably be persuaded,” Loki said lazily. It was the right answer – one didn’t lightly say no to the Grandmaster – and so far at least he hadn’t exactly found it onerous to give. Not optimal, exactly, but the Grandmaster was very good at what he did, and Loki’d certainly done worse for less. He could live with this easily enough.

the fact that Loki’s death scene in Thor 2 was originally intended to be real & retconned later and the end where he’s alive was filmed during pickups has me SO fucked up because now I can’t choose between which headcanon I prefer re: his behavior in Ragnarok. like listen, okay, either:

1. loki was planning on playing dead the whole time and so his very sad death scene & everything he said therein was a calculated move and he was practically writing the theatrical version of it (starring matt damon as himself) as he went along 

OR

2. loki really thought he was dying and every melodramatic word of his death scene was 100% heartfelt and then after he realized he wasn’t dead he fucking… woke up peaced out to go take over asgard (lol?) and several months later he was sitting on the throne and could remember every word of what he said to thor on that day and was like “wow im so fucking poetic. that should be a play. starring matt damon as Me perhaps” 

and I honestly could not tell you which is better
